Last November, captain Phil Nevilles personal visit to the Hargreaves Centre in Great Homer Street, Everton, to speak to local school children for anti-bullying week attracted national and regional media. Otherplayers have also appeared in publicity photographs for the NSPCC Christmas fundraising Letters From Santa campaign and taken part in an NSPCC FIFA Ashion show in Cheshire.All the money raised by the Club will go towards the Fifa 16 Coins Safe Place Appeal on Merseyside which was launched in 2004.
The Appeals aim is to raise pound 17million to cover 10 years running costs of the NSPCC Hargreaves Centre where up to 400 children and their FIFA milies receive help and support each week.The centre - which is the largest NSPCC base outside London - houses: A team to help local children, young people and their FIFA milies overcome domestic violence. A groundbreaking service working with pregnant substance users and women and FIFA milies with young children. A ChildLine base where volunteer counsellors help and comfort young people in distress and danger from the Liverpool area and beyond.
